Terms & Conditions

Using this site means that you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not accept them, stop using the site.

Greene County Recent Arrests is privately owned and is not affiliated with any government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides an FCRA-covered service for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. The site is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency. It organizes Greene County and North Carolina jail and records resources.

Nature of the Site

This private reference does not hold government records. It cannot verify current custody, release a person, post bond, file a court paper, or act for an agency. Its content points visitors toward Greene County arrest and jail sources and may connect them to outside research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

You agree to use the site responsibly. You must not:

  • break a law through or in connection with the site;
  • use information to stalk, threaten, harass, or harm anyone;
  • base hiring, housing, credit, lending, or insurance decisions on site content;
  • seek access to accounts, data, or systems without authorization;
  • operate automated bots, scrapers, or bulk collection tools;
  • damage, overload, interrupt, or impair service for other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We provide no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither our site nor advertising partners offers screening services. You agree not to use any information for:

  • hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment action;
  • tenant selection or another housing decision;
  • creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing;
  • license, permit, or government-program eligibility;
  • any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Links Beyond Our Control

The site links to jail and Sheriff resources, booking channels, courts, corrections agencies, federal locators, legal information, news, and outside search providers. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control a destination’s content, privacy practices, data, security, pricing, or uptime. Review its terms before use.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that:

  • information is accurate, complete, or current;
  • access will always be uninterrupted;
  • the service is free from errors, bugs, or security flaws;
  • a partner search returns every relevant record.

Custody and public records can change at any time. Nothing here is an official statement by Greene County, a sheriff, jail, court, or government agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site, its owners, and contributors harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless stated otherwise, site text, graphics, logos, design, and code belong to Greene County Recent Arrests or its content partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or modify them without prior written permission.
